Lovely stay at Staycity Edinburgh West End. Convenient location with tram stop nearby. Staff were friendly, helpful and easily accessible from room via WhatsApp who sent a maintenance staff member within 10 minutes to help resolve issue. Loved having an apartment with a fridge and cooking facilities, saves paying to eat out for every meal. We found it clean. Only experienced difficulties with the controls in the room and the blind. The blind had malfunctioned and couldn’t get the blind down or up (required help from staff). Once it was put down we felt we had to leave it down, so we didn’t have any natural light in our room throughout our stay. TV also wasn’t connected to many channels (including BBC 2, ITV1, Channel 4 etc). If we had spoken to someone about this I’m sure they would have helped but at the end of a long day when we turned on the TV this wasn’t ideal.

We arrived from Glasgow where we stayed at a fantastic hotel - which cost us less than half of Staycity in Edinburg. And Staycity seemed so sad compared to that hotel. Our room was worn down. One window was almost inpossibel to open and close. The floors were sticky and not clean. Maybe the linen was washed - but it was not clean. No hot water or heat when we arrived. Mold in the corners in the bathroom. And much more stuff like that. The upside was the really nice and helpfull staff.

Nice hotel and serice but could do with routine maintenance. We stayed for 2 night. Check in was a breeze, the staff were very helpful too. However, there were few problems. Nice hotel and serice but could do with routine maintenance. We stayed for 2 night. Check in was a breeze, the staff were very helpful too. However, there were few problems. Units were spacious, we had the 1 bedroom apartment. The 2 separate doors for bedroom and living area makes it rather inconvenient. We had to put our suitcases right by the door to keep it open. They could provide door stopper. First issue was the washing machine. It wont start as the water source is turned off. The staff were very helpful that he would come up and turn on the water source. We also have flickering lights— that were removed and its fine. After washing then we continue to dry our clothes & found big puddles by the cupboard. So the reason the water source was off could be because of this. This should have been addressed by the property if there were proper communication between the housekeeping/maintenance and they shouldnt gve the room to us if it needs fixing. Another issue is the lift. From basement carpark., going up.. the lift suddenly went down really hard and made loud noise. The stopped on the first floor. We opt for stairs after that. The property itself were moderately cleaned. The floor were rather dirty. Shower area should have a door so the whole bathroom wont be flooded. Many improvements need to be made for this Apartment. We cant complain about the staff helping us as he is so nice friendly and very helpful but the apartment itself need major day to day maintenance
