Our stay at this hotel was perfect. The beach is without question the best on Makadi Bay, and the snorkeling on the house reef is absolutely amazing. We were pleased with everything the hotel had to offer- pools, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Our room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. We will happily stay again.

“Amazing Resort, Mina is AMAZING”

We've had the best Holiday at Fort Arabesque. We stayed in west bay. All of the staff were very friendly, accommodation clean and the food was delicious. My Partner surprised me with a beautiful romantic meal on the beach at the beach bar and Mina the waitor made it extra special. He helped my partner with the most romantic proposal. Mina is by far the best waitor at Fort Arabesque he is passionate about his job and goes above and beyond. He sure made our Holiday

“Good very good, and not so good.”

We stayed in the Sea View Villas which are lovely, very specious, comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. A good size patio area is quite private and your have direct access to the pool which spans between about 10 villas. The downside of the Sea View is that you're on the Top level with 52 steps… more

We stayed in the Sea View Villas which are lovely, very specious, comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. A good size patio area is quite private and your have direct access to the pool which spans between about 10 villas. The downside of the Sea View is that you're on the Top level with 52 steps to go up (No shade or lift) and back down to restaurants etc. The other problem was getting out of the pool, the tiles are Very smooth and I slipped and fell badly on the first day! No signage to warn, or a non slip mat. Food is largely good although the menus seem to be the same every day at the a la carte eateries. The beach bar seemed to serve just an Egyptian menu at night, we had a table in the open near the sea, but the lighting was so poor that we had to use our phone torches to eat.. also the chicken was undercooked. We didn't eat there again. Other restaurants were also very dimly lit.. very pretty, but not not very practical. One other thing was, although we could have Prosecco inclusive for breakfast, it was €8 a glass at dinner! this seemed petty and annoying! The very limited selection of inclusive wines and beers were not very good, and not very chilled. The staff were mostly really helpful and personable, with the odd exception.. Entertainment was fairly basic with the usual belly dancers, carpet man, and acrobatic act, and lasted about 40mins. It also repeated after a week, so the same thing again. The sea was lovely, very calm, and quite warm. The snorkelling was a real bonus, and a great variety of fish over several crops of coral not too deep, and really clear water. The grounds are very specious and immaculately kept, it took several days to find your way around. We went on a glass bottom boat trip from the Sea front which was very enjoyable, with lovely guys running it. A bonus with the villas was your own allocated beach bed which was yours for the duration of your stay, fresh towels there daily, and a cool box with your choice of drinks. Tipping was not expected. We did find the vendors from the hotel pestered you frequently for Spa, massage, treatments etc. We tied up a red flag which was supposed to stop them, but they largely ignored it. (Management please note! ) Largely we really enjoyed our stay, and just might consider returning, but to a lower floor villa.

The hotel itself was absolutely amazing, we were upgraded to one of the villas and I have to say, absolutely took my breath away. The hotel and facilities are amazing and the beach is breathtaking. The only issue is, I caught gastroenteritis not sure if it’s the food , but I am assuming it is; I ended up having to go and visit the hotels clinic. Thank you to the three doctors who looked after me and to gave me IV fluids and IV antibiotics x3, and Farrah in housekeeping for the villa. When he saw how poorly I was, he rushed to get me some herbal treatment to ease the discomfort.
