“Wonderful food”

Great food and service. The staff were totally attentive and we were looked after really well. The view whilst eating lunch is spectacular. They do the best Berthoud and they looked after my Gluten Free requirements. A really great experience.

“Fab Stay On Top of the Mountain”

This was our 2nd ski holiday staying in L'Escale and we enjoyed just as much as our first trip. This was our 2nd ski holiday staying in L'Escale and we enjoyed just as much as our first trip. This time we staying in a room with a balcony, which would recommend, with lovely views over the valley. Meals were excellent with good choices. Staying here in the morning you step out of the large boot room onto the piste, so ski out and ski in. The L'Escale is a slice of tranquility on a mountain, you do not feel shut off from the village more privileged to be in such a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were large and quite basic but had everything you need. A magical stay at L'Escale.

“Charming hotel in a unique setting”

Just had a fantastic week at the L'Escale. There is something magical about being far from the madding crowd up a mountain, which falls silent at 5pm. Then it is just the piste bashers and quiet, ideal for the kids to toboggan or just sit on the terrace and admire the view. The staff are incredibly friendly and hard-working. The food was excellent, a wonderful spread for breakfast and dinner was also excellent. We had lunch on a couple of days as well, with a varied and large menu. If I had to come up with a criticism, it's that the Wi-fi basically does not work and for some reason the 4G seems not to work well, either. The rooms are a little basic, but that's not what you're there for. They are clean and comfortable. You can ski, quite literally, out the backdoor and apart from the fellow guests, the only others at the bar in the evening are the pisteurs. We will be back, for sure. A massive thank you to Sarah, Johanna and the rest of the team for making it such a pleasurable stay.

This hotel is a real find. The owners run this hotel so well. We had BBC a room with a balcony- u see amazing sunsets and sunrises high up in the mountains. This hotel is a real find. The owners run this hotel so well. We had BBC a room with a balcony- u see amazing sunsets and sunrises high up in the mountains. A really family affair that welcomes everyone. Breakfast great….Dinner superb - you choose ur menu the day before - however u will not starve as portions are very large. Every meal we had we loved although trying to fit pudding in was a challenge. The Terrace for lunch (we were lucky with the weather) was a treat. The staff work so hard - it is worth going just to see the skill of one waiter circumnavigate the tables full of skiers with a tray above his head full of varying size glasses. We both loved it - first experience of staying up on the slopes and I would highly recommend it - whether with your family or as a couple.., Well done L’Escale…..I hope Macron sees sense soon as we would love to come back…,,
