It is actually exactly what you hope for when you look for ski in/ski out. In fact, the last day of our trip, all 14 people staying in the 4 BR condos skied out together in the am and back for lunch later. Amazing. The basement lounge area close to the bunk room made it so the kids and adults had separate hang spaces. But when all 14 of us wanted to do a movie night, we could do that easily. Kitchen was great - we ate in all 4 nights. Grill was in excelllent condition. Lots of towels. Jacuzzi is close but not in the condo itself. It’s a one minute walk. For multiple families, 101A at Hummingbird was perfect.

We've visited Bachelor Gulch several times and usually stay at the Ritz. This year we had a the whole family plus, the Ritz was pretty well booked and we opted to try Hummingbird. It was outstanding in every way. If you like the quiet of Bachelor Gulch it's even quieter at Hummingbird and of course, the property was top drawer, from the parking to the furnishings. Everything worked perfectly and it was even nicer than the pictures showed. While the Ritz is perfect for the area, if you want more room or the Ritz is booked, Hummingbird is awesome. We will be back.

However, it is possible to get the same quality of accommodations with access to the Ritz facilities, for almost the same rate as a single room at the hotel. We are huge fans of the bachelor gulch ritz carlton property. However, it is possible to get the same quality of accommodations with access to the Ritz facilities, for almost the same rate as a single room at the hotel. Instead of being in a room, we had three rooms at a very spacious 2,000+ sq. ft. lodge that was well maintained, cleaned every day and with ski-in and ski-out access. The service level we received was as one would expect at Beaver Creek / Bachelor Gulch - consistently high quality throughout every customer touch-point. Colorado and this resort in particular make it hard to want to explore other options in the years to come.

We live nearby and recently rented a four bedroom condo at Hummingbird Lodge when family came in town to visit. We enjoyed everything about our stay - condo was clean and beautifully furnished, views were amazing, plenty of space to spread out, easy check-in/out at the reception center, free shuttle service to the Ritz Carlton, indoor garage parking, elevator straight to the condo - it was a perfect week! The staff was there to help with whatever we needed, big thanks to Adrienne, Kyle and Eric. I would highly recommend staying here, any time of year.
