“Best so far”

Professional and courteous staff. While generally good looking and fresh feeling at the hotel I felt the room floors and bathroom need either update or something to make it 'feel or seem ' cleaner. All in all one of the best hotel experiences in Europe/Scandinavia so far.

Friendly welcome. Walked ex SVK station nearby (Torp train) with luggage, bit tricky with snow etc but it was later in the pm and the area was clearly fast closing down. Friendly welcome. Walked ex SVK station nearby (Torp train) with luggage, bit tricky with snow etc but it was later in the pm and the area was clearly fast closing down. If early enough (weekdays to 9pm) try and cut through the large mall, no snow-boots required in there. -- 2*500ml of water in the room on arrival. Kiwi supermarket just over the road (hello! if you are unaware in the pm about Norway's alcohol laws and enjoy characterful beer etc believe there is hope somewhere (else)). Bring duty free, and buy mixers locally as needed; like the locals cherish. Hotel quiet on a Thursday evening. room spacious. Full size sofa, desk and chair. A decent sized room. A properly dark room at night. Couldn't work out how to change the room temp - unexpected, it's usually simple enough. The shower had good water pressure, tho a bit of a non-standard over a strangely narrow bath-tub. Bathroom rather dated, rather worn but clean. Never could work out how to change the air con. No charge for additional hour 'late check out' was appreciated as we had a family meeting right on leaving. Lastly a properly full-on full-on, hugely ranging breakfast (worth $$$ in Oslo, that kept us going well into late lunch hour - superb and was a lasting highlight).

“Good hotel but away from the main city”

The hotel is located about 20 mins by car from the city center. We spent a couple of nights here and this was one of the few hotels we'd stayed in across Scandinavia to have a kettle and complimentary coffee/tea sachets! The room also had a minibar with beer, wine, and water - but all those were on charge. Checkin was fairly quick but for some reason, the front desk programmed our room keycards for only 1 night, whereas we stayed 2 nights. Created a bit of a mess when we returned on the 2nd evening! Room was good-sized. My windows faced a highway so I kept the curtains drawn most of the time. No disturbance though - room was well-insulated. Internet was excellent. Took some time to figure out the AC controls. Funny system for the room door - it does not lock when you pull it shut! If you are inside the room, you need to press a tiny button on top of the lock mechanism. If you are outside, you need to swipe your room card to lock it. Also, even after pressing the button from inside, you can never be sure if the room is locked or not unless you ask someone to open it from outside! Wonder why this was made so complicated! Bath was also spacious but with zero amenities. Only soap/shampoo from the wall dispensers. The shower in the bath was powerful but water was either too hot or cold. No in-between! The complimentary breakfast was served at lobby level from 6.30 am. Good spread. Service was also good and the staff were friendly.

“I recommend it and would go back again if I travel oslo.”

Very good for the price you pay. Accessible shopping mall, and grocery stores, good breakfast, bathtub and cleanness, its neighborhood and gym at the hotel are the highlights. The drawback of the hotel is that it is a bit far away from a lot of tourist attractions.
