This is a great place near the airport terminals to rest after a long flight from Europe or North America. I start every trip to Japan with a rest at this hotel. The free shuttle bus makes the transition smooth. Although not a 5-star hotel, the rooms have all the conveniences one expects. I especially appreciated the nice bedside USB loading docks, the relaxing deep bathtub, the great mattress, and the cozy bed. The breakfast buffet caters to all tastes. Slightly disappointed though that the nice bar on the upper floor is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

We decided to stay one night at Nirata Tobu after our 11 hours flight from NZ. Free shuttle bus to and from hotel is very convenient. Room is spacious. Room decoration and bath is a bit old fashioned but clean. Breakfast buffet is good (JPY$2,600). Should purchase breakfast as a package to save money when I booked the rooms. Nice stay.

“Way better than expected”

We picked this hotel based on proximity to Narita. We needed a place to catch sleep before heading to Ueno after our long flight. Had read that hotel was dated so we had lowered expectations. We picked this hotel based on proximity to Narita. We needed a place to catch sleep before heading to Ueno after our long flight. Had read that hotel was dated so we had lowered expectations. While true hotel is dated, it was more than fine for a night's sleep. The buffet restaurant and eating area were modern and bright and there was a full array of breakfast foods, both NAmerican and Japanese. Full marks for the buffet. Check in was fine. The room had a bit of an odour. Not sure what that was. But very quiet. Shower worked fine. Nice gift shop on main floor. Shuttle was easy to find.

The room is big, neat and clean as shown on the website photos. Toilet is old but clean. The staffs of the hotel are unfriendly and some can be rude except the housekeeping are the only ones that smile. The convenient store is not convenient at all. Very limited things to offer but the drug store is a good place to shop. They have free shuttle buses from the terminal to the hotel as well as to the nearby Aeon mall and Narita station. However, the shuttle bus to the mall and station are limited. Therefore, it is packed and crowded. Not a good experience! Internet connection is poor and unstable.
