My wife I stayed at the Isola Sacra at the beginning of our 2 month Italian vacation and couldn’t be happier❤️ The service from the entire hotel staff was fantastic from the moment we arrived, especially Ash J their wonderful bartender! Would highly recommended staying there if your looking for first class service! We enjoyed is so much we’ve decided to come back just before we leave Italy. Can’t say enough good things about Ash J and his welcoming hospitality and expertise in making us feel so welcome to Italy🇮🇹 The Isola Sacra is very fortunate to have him as an employee. He was also instrumental in getting the maintenance staff to correct a few minor plumbing issues immediately and to our satisfaction✅ Please do yourselves a favor and stay at this great hotel that’s 10 minutes from FCO airport, that also has a great restaurant on the property 😋 Please stop and see Ash J at his lovely boutique bar in the lobby and tell him Bill & Joanne recommend him, you won’t regret it 🤙❤️

“Great choice for close to airport”

Nice hotel with nice clean rooms and convenient shuttle Breakfast is good. And to stay close to the airport I would not go anywhere else !! It also has a nice restaurant with very good food and nice service. Large and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend

The hotel was beautiful and very posh, you couldn't tell from the outside but once you go in, everything looked wonderful. Our room was a 1 bedroom, it had toiletries like slippers, toothbrushes, shower caps, shower gel (no shampoo or conditioner), complementary water and a small fridge hidden behind the mirror. Good service, pool area looked inviting. Just note that the restaurant closes at 2:30pm and reopens again at around 6:30pm and there are not a lot of restaurants open around that is open, so you need to plan your meals if you are going there in the afternoon. The reception staff did not have other options for meals in the area. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic, ingredients were so fresh. We loved the ambiance.

Honestly we wanted to stay 2 nights close to the airport and this hotel had decent reviews and price and a convenient shuttle for a fee. The Good: Check-in and check-out were very good and fast and our room was ready on time. We were also upgraded to a balcony room which was nice. The hotel is relatively close to the airport and the shuttle was reliable. The hotel is nice and clean and so are the rooms. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Modern hotel that could be a 4 star but doesn't quite get there for us. The food at the IT restaurant is very good and they gave us a 10% discount coupon for our first meal there. This hotel made sese for us on paper and was actually very promising at check in. The Bad: We had 2 nights booked in November at this place. People were walking around with scarves and winter coats outside and sometimes inside as well. When we got to our room it looked clean and with adequate space. We noticed that there was only one bottle of water for two of us. Normal expectations is a minimum of one free water bottle per person per day. The second day...no water at all. Conveniently for the hotel they sold water bottles in a machine in the lobby for 1.5 euros each. There were one very thin towel for each of us, the shower had soap and shampoo combined in one bottle and no conditioner at all. As the sun was going down the temperature started dropping and the ceramic floors were getting cold and the room was as well. I tried for 10 minutes to get heat from the A/C system but nothing as it was getting colder. I called down and was told that the heat is not turned on yet. The pool closed at the end of October but the heat in mid November was not on yet. They offered an extra blanket. I didn't realize that heat was a luxury at this hotel. They couldn't tell me when the heat was going to be turned on. Ridiculous. Penny pinching and nickel and diming us for everything. The restaurant provides very good food but we struggled with the service. Again, I got used to paying for water and each item on the table in Italy's touristy areas but this was at another level. I ordered the sea bass at 25 euros. That's basically what was on the plate; a fillet with boiled and cold vegetables. That's it! I expected a bed of risotto or mashed potatoes or something but I had to order it for another 6 euros which I wasn't told when I ordered. I asked the waiter if he could get me a side dish of potatoes right away and he went off. Waited in vain and finished my minimalist plate of fish still waiting for the potatoes. A bus boy aske if he could clear my plate and I told him I was still waiting for the side dish I ordered. I've been watching our waiter chatting with the lady at the entrance of the restaurant seemingly not thinking of our order. The bus boy actually went in the kitchen and got it for me. Not a great experience at all. Stick to pasta and pizza at this place. The second night we tried it again and a different lady at the reception desk of the restaurant wanted to seat my wife and I in a room with two large and loud groups and claimed all the other tables for two were reserved. They had tables in the quiet room but was saving it for her regulars I guess and two tables for four were never used that she could of easily placed us there. I pointed to their table for 1 which was the same as a table for two and we sat there when better tables sat empty. I ordered tea instead of water and 3 times someone asked why we didn't get water (also about 6 euros for water) I felt that they took care of the locals and the tourists can wait. Anyway, not very pleasant but we made the most of it as we were leaving the next day. Smoking is everywhere. This is Italy, not this place's fault but each exit door at this hotel has a crowd smoking that you have to walk through to get in and out. Since there are conferences people go out right in front of the doors to smoke. If you're there for one night before flying out and you don't mind the nickle and dime approach to squeezing money out of tourists for very little service. This will be convenient but don't expect a 4 star hotel at a good price. Its not.
