You may feel the antiquity of this hotel from the retro atmosphere of the lobby and the furniture in the rooms that are damaged in some places. But all are clean and you won't feel uncomfortable. The biggest drawback of this hotel is that the bathrooms in the rooms are very narrow. If you find it narrow, you may want to use the public bath on the top floor of the hotel. Although there is an open-air bath exclusively for men, the atmosphere like a hot spring inn can not be felt at all. You should not expect it too much. Guests can eat Shinshu-soba and Inari-zushi at breakfast for free. If you pay an additional 860 yen, you can eat a richer breakfast (either Japanese style or Western style). But I do not recommend it too much. Because Shinshu-soba and Inari-zushi are just enough. In addition, the vessels used for a richer breakfast are quite distinctive, you'll feel it hard to use for eat the breakfast. If you feel that Shinshu-soba and Inari-zushi are not enough, it may be better to use a cafe that is open early in the morning.
