We have been coming to stay at the Amwaj Rotana for over five years and just like other years, the staff have been great, welcoming and always going the extra mile. However, on this occasion, the hotel staff helped us deal with an incident that was caused by a party outside of the hotel. A special thank you to Irene as she dealt with a difficult situation and ensured we were helped by other parties. Irene a Special Thank you. I would also like to thank Saif for his expertise in allocating a room, Jude and the front team for always being on hand and Oveto in the Horizons restaurant for remembering all our requests from last year i.e. what coffee we liked and being on hand to serve with great manners and always with a smile. Thank you to the Amwaj team and you will be seeing us again soon.

We had the best relaxing holiday ever at this hotel. We went all inclusive and enjoyed great restaurants especially the Italian and Japanese although the buffet was also excellent. We had the best relaxing holiday ever at this hotel. We went all inclusive and enjoyed great restaurants especially the Italian and Japanese although the buffet was also excellent. Most of all it was the staff who made our holiday - special mention for Ibraham and Oveto, Rajni and Mao Mao in the restaurants and especially Suijan who looked after us so well by the pool. Managers Lavender and Thomas oversee a very happy group who cannot do enough for their guests. We will be back!

I don't know his name, but there was a gentleman in a suit in the lobby, who I think might have been the manager, who was very helpful and the valet was a young man. Our rental car had a flat tire. The friend at the valet helped us a lot to repair it. We could not check in early because the hotel was full in the lobby, but he took us to the temporary guest room because we had children. I am grateful to them.Rooms very clean and The staff is very friendly and the location is great.

“Great Hotel in a good location”

This is the first time we have stayed at JBR having previously stayed in other areas of Dubai and we found this to be a completely different holiday. This is the first time we have stayed at JBR having previously stayed in other areas of Dubai and we found this to be a completely different holiday. The hotel is in a great location on JRB/The Walk and has a beachfront promenade with shops and restaurants giving it more of the feel of a westernised holiday resort. We were early to check in at the hotel so were able to go and use the pool facilities until our rooms were ready. Once we were checked in we had the half board dine around deal and although reception said we would need to check with the restaurants individally, the staff in each outlet were fully aware of what this included and when it could be used. As we had plans most evening we were able to use this at lunch time for a full 3 course meal with a drink included. We did this at the Sundeck Pool Bar, we also ate in Benihana, Rosso and JBs gastropub all of which were very good and very big portions. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable - we had the full seaview which were set back slightly overlooking the pool the big wheel, but were slightly blocked to the left with the partial sevaiew rooms. This didnt spoil anything and there was a constant view of boats to watch out in the bay. The room was cleaned daily with an evening turn down service. The beds were comfortable, but we found the pillows a little too soft. The bathroom was of the standard you would expect with toiletries supplied (Shampoo, conditioner, Showergel and body lotion - although we did suspect our conditioner was filled with shampoo as it was frothy! bet I had brought some of my own so this wasnt a huge issue) The hotel supplies complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee. Theres a safe, hairdryer (decent one) and an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was ample, there was a good selection of different food and drinks - juice was help yourself and tea/coffee was brought to the table by a waiter. We didnt use the buffet for anything other than breakfast. One of our gourp had a significant birthday during our stay and the hotel went above and beyond to help with the celebrations, decorating the room, leaving wine and cake and also a gift for the birthday girl which was very much appreciated. We were very happy with the hotel and would definately stay again if we could get the dine around deal. That said we feel it is more of a 4* than 5 but thats just us nit picking. The only other negative we would flag is that sometimes the traffic in the area is very heavy with their only being one road in/out, so allow time for this if you have plans. We used both UBER and local taxis to travel to Meydan Races, The Marina Mall, The Madinat/Burj Al Arab, Downtonw & the Burj Khalifa and Bur Dubai/Al Seef - I think the most expensive journey was about £23 - not bad for a 23 km journey.
