The hotel is well located, central to many places, and just a block from Copacabana Beach. The shower is fabulous - strong water pressure, nice and hot! The room was comfortable, though not soundproof at all - a young lady was having (or receiving) a VERY good time in the room next door; we heard all the street noise from roadworks throughout the night. (Hotel can't be held responsible for roadworks.) Breakfast was good, nice selection of savoury items and some sweet. Laundry was prompt and easy to organise. The rooftop is a nice place to sit for a drink at the end of the day.

Well run, smart hotel in the northern half of Copacabana. Easy access to one of the most vibrant beaches in the world, plenty of good, mid-range places to eat nearby, comfortable, well managed accommodation. Very good buffet breakfast. Bit of a hike to Copacabana (1.5-2 miles) if you prefer quiet evenings, but it's a scenic walk and Ubers are cheap. This is the end of the beach where the plush streets are meets the less plush, but the hotel's street is fine. Professional and friendly staff, spacious and well kept rooms. Useful balconies at the front. Good base for doing tours into the city and lounging in the sun. Quiet sun roof with great views. Would recommend.

Had a high floor room with a balcony, which made things more pleasant than they otherwise might be. The balcony only provided a glimpse of the beach through the buildings, but still the spacious higher grade room was nice. Mattress was decent -I wouldn't go as far as to say you're sleeping on a cloud, but not a hard bed by any means. And the feather pillows are truly among the best ever in a hotel. I liked the complimentary toiletries -soaps and shampoo bottles, just like in the good ol' days before hotels decided to cut costs. Slippers too. Breakfast helpfully goes from 6-10:30 and is quite generous. Pao de queijo is among the best I've had in Brazil -proper texture and I don't remember it being stale during my entire stay. That said, I found myself eating less and less at breakfast because it got repetitive. And I didn't want to stuff myself at breakfast so I could enjoy all the amazing restaurants in Copa and Ipanema. Water pressure was always superb, and temperature was never a problem. I do wish they had coffee and tea-making facilities in the room, but that's minor stuff. The one major issue I had was internet. It was absolute hell to hook up my computer to the internet. Phone had no problem, but the computer was not letting me connect, no matter what I did. Front desk staff was no help. They had tech support call me, but they spoke no English. Lucky for me, they did speak Spanish in addition to Portuguese, but they still couldn't solve the problem. I finally solved it myself, but only after googling solutions on my phone and wasting hours of sleep time. And then it kept throwing me off the internet every other day or so. As long as you do all your browsing on your phone and don't need to get any work done, you'll be fine.

This experience was not good. Room we purchased was advertised as 20sq m. In reality room given to us about 12sq m. Tiny and nothing like the advertisement. On Bookings.com all the photos are the same for each room type - so quite confusing and deceptive. The hotel did give us a better room (or the room we bought online) but blamed Booking.com for the misleading pictures. Pretty sure the hotel loads its own photos to the website. No accountability, no humility, no apology. Rooms are dated and tired. Bathrooms are poorly designed and it was hard to even sit on the toilet. (Very tight squeeze). Walls are very thin and you can clearly hear your neighbours conversation (even if they are speaking in a normal tone). Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Location was great.
