“Great choice of Apart-Hotel, close to Copacabana Beach and shops, bars, restaurants!”

We received a warm welcome by the first of the concierges we met, Mr. Hobbs. The front desk is manned 24h. Ms. Patricia on another shift, was extremely helpful with other requests as well as a gentleman whose name I don't remember, sorry! We arrived mid-morning New Year's Day 2019 and were invited to change out of our travelling clothes into something lighter or even our swimwear, as it was already about 28C, and leave our luggage in a secured luggage area, which we did. We could have used the nice clean pool, but were too tired to do so after a 24 hr journey. The first suite we got (703) at about 11h30, still before the regular check-in time, was overlooking the main tree-lined street and was nice, with a balcony, but we had to change to another one the next day, also with a balcony, for some technical reason, but that was OK as we were given a better one (1005) overlooking the rear, which was a bit quieter. The air conditioner is is the bedroom, and rather noisy but efficient, and there is a sliding door to the living room. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linens were fine. However, the bathroom towels were rather "tired" and thin, in comparison. The kitchenette had a small fridge, enough for our 4-day needs and a microwave. A 2-pot stove was useless as there were no pots or pans, but there were enough plates and cutlery, glasses for us 2. I am sure that pots would have been provided on request. There is a safe in the closet and enough space but not enough hangers, 4 for us both, but I had brought my own from home (a handy trick!) There are 2 small elevators and a nice air-conditioned reception area. Good Wi-fi but tricky TV, had to get it looked at twice, but we were not there to watch TV after all... On the occasion that we needed the maintenance personnel, they were extremely helpful and fast to reply to our concerns. The maid service was fast and efficient and we appreciated that. On the negative side: The practice of NOT discarding used toilet paper down the toilet requires getting used to. There is a bin next to the toilet for that purpose. Awkward, but efficient, still not very sanitary, but the sensitive plumbing system in this part of the world requires it.

Good sized rooms with a seating area and balcony. A comfortable bed but traffic noise from the street below. We could look from our balcony down to the beach. Well located for transport, shops and the beach. Cleanliness was ok but they needed to do some thorough cleaning around the doors and light switches as they were grubby with finger prints. The staff were nice and helpful.

“Budget hotel located a few blocks from Copacabana”

Good budget apartment hotel located a few blocks from the apartment. I stayed here for a few days prior to moving to a Copacabana beach hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. I was surprised with how large the rooms were relative to most of the hotels located on the beach. There was a nice pool at the hotel and wifi was present throughout the property.

“Perfect location”

Promenade Princess Copacabana This hotel staff have been great. They do not hassle you for bringing guests to the hotel and for this I would have to recommend this hotel. Promenade Princess Copacabana This hotel staff have been great. They do not hassle you for bringing guests to the hotel and for this I would have to recommend this hotel. The hotel location is very good one block away from subway and a block away from Copacabana beach, it's not a far walk to Ipanema beach, lots of shopping and restaurants in the area and for you Starbucks fans five minute walk. The hotel has A very small restaurant that is adequate. The free breakfast in the morning is very limited but it is free. The hotel has an gym which is open from 7 to 10 or 11 PM. The gym has two treadmills and one bike, The equipment was in very poor condition neither of the treadmills work and the bike was not rideable. The only weights in the gym was a partial set of dumbbells. The pool hot tub and sauna were not working the entire time that I was at the hotel the pool was undergoing some maintenance work; but this was not communicated before arrival to the hotel it was not disclose. If you are planning to visit Rio add this hotel to your list for the money it might not be a bad deal under $100.00 just be aware that the condition of the hotel and the amenities may not be that good. Our room had all the kitchen appliances and utensils we needed. There was a lot of good English speaking TV, and moves channels available, and from my long experience in visiting Rio this was the best TV and movie experience I have had. I don't think I ran into any one on the staff that did not speak some English. This property was kept in good shape although the furniture is dated. The Wi-Fi is free and it works great, in the room, at the pool, and at the gym. Again I have to give the staff a round of applause for their excellent service can’t ask for anything more. I have visited Rio on many occasions and this hotel is about the same as any I have visited. Ricky from Atlanta Georgia.
