“Nice hotel in good location”

Perfect location for exploring the old city of Cordoba.We could walk to all of the sites. Room was lovely and breakfast was good. Reception was gracious, welcoming and answered all of our questions. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean.

I chose this location because it looked like it was easy to access by car, but very close to the old city. That turned out to be true. You do NOT want to be driving in the old part of the city, with its very narrow streets, if you can avoid it, but this hotel is on the edge of the old town, but in the newer area with normal streets. The hotel parking was convenient, but a bit hard to find. I parked in one of the nearby underground parking lots first and went to check in. At checkin the reception people explained how to find the entrance to the parkade. It's easy to find it and enter it once you know where the entry is. The room was large and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, access to the old town and also to the Hop-on/Hop-off bus was very good, and there were some good eating choices in the nearby market area. All in all, I was very pleased with this hotel. What particularly made this hotel stand out was the people at reception. They supplied a map with some suggestions on what to see, then directed me to the city expert who has a desk right in their lobby until about 2:30 PM. That person was able to give additional suggestions on tourist attractions, and was able to sell me a ticket for the Hop-on/Hop-off bus, along with information on their route and schedule. We stayed here one night during a small group tour. The room was quite nice, clean, and the pillows were much more comfortable than they were at some of the other hotels on our trip. But I would agree with other reviewers that the automatic motion sensor lights in the bathroom were not the best idea for middle-of-the-night visits. The hotel information in our room indicated that the bar was not open during the afternoon, but fortunately, that turned out to be incorrect. We enjoyed the local beer, plus wine and cocktails. Breakfast was fine, with a good variety of food. The hotel is right across the street from the entrance to the old town area.
