Really lovely hotel in a good location. The rooms were huge and we had a private sauna in ours which was a perfect relaxing addition, especially after long days of exploring belgium! The bathroom was also huge and clean with a nice hot shower (or a bath but we didn’t use it). They provide shampoo, body wash, body lotion, and conditioner. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the Midi station and 30 mins to the main square, or jump on the metro a couple of stops (the metro is about a 8 minute walk away). While we were here, we saw that liverpool football team were staying just down the road- which was reassuring to us that we were in a good area! I honestly cannot fault this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

One of the reasons we booked this hotel was it's 5 star (bubble?) reviews on TA. After staying there, I fully understand why it's rated with 5 stars again and again. After coming off and plane, and being jet lagged, we were greeted by Phillip, who told us that while he could give us a room now, a better room would be available at noon - we chose to wait as we're used to flying. While the location was a bit out of the city center, but we took the metro, which worked fine. The hotel itself was fabulous. The staff was amazing, especially Phillip. The room was so comfortable, especially the beds. The breakfast was delicious, and loved all the options. The only thing I would add is, there are no personal washcloths, so while we travel, we bring our own, it is something other travelers should know. Would highly recommend anyone else staying in Brussels to stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Bristol Stephanie as a stopover before taking the Eurostar to the UK. I did quite a bit of research for hotels in Brussels and found this hotel to have decent reviews. However, I don’t think this really meets the star rating that it has. The hotel: The staff were pleasant and friendly and the checkin was smooth. However, it was clear from the lobby that this is hotel is in desperate need of renovation. After a long walk to the back of the hotel, the lift “lobby” was actually just a single lift to our floor that was barely big enough for my wife and I plus luggage. The corridors and decor is something that would look right at home in the 1990s than today. Breakfast was an optional €23 at the time of writing but based on what I saw through the window it wasn’t very appealing. There is a decent sized gym and sauna but we didn’t make use of that. Checkout was smooth and hassle free. The Room: We were upgraded to a family room, which was decent sized. There was a living are with sofa and a table for eating that is more than adequate. The bathroom was divided into two, with the toilet by the door and the main bathroom by the bed. It was a bit weird to have a bidet that was separate from the toilet though. Coffee and tea was usable but there were no spoons in the room so we had to get those from reception. There was decent storage space for those staying more than a few nights. Lastly, there was a tv that was mounted on a movable bracket so you can watch tv on the sofa or in bed if needed. The standout in the room was the bed as it was comfier than it looked. Both of us had a very good nights sleep and very comfortable pillows. The Location: Not far from the main sights of Brussels but also not close either. We walked to the Grand Place and it took about 30 mins but it was very close to the Pallais du Justice. There’s a mix of high street shops on the street beside the hotel and a Carrefour 2 mins away. For those who want to get around faster, there’s a metro station pretty much outside the hotel and also tram stops. Getting to the Eurostar station was only 8 minutes by taxi. Overall it was a bit of a disappointment and nothing to really shout about this hotel - good or bad. If you want to see more of the sights of Brussels though, I’d choose somewhere a bit more central in my opinion.
