“Close to Universal”

The breakfast had some great options to choose from. The room was clean but we kept seeing these little bugs (not bed bugs) near the bed and on the floor. The place is less than 10 minutes from universal studios so if you are heading there this is the perfect place to stay.

Staff on the whole are friendly and helpful only had one male on reception who it seemed that we were interrupting his shift by requesting an extra blanket ... staff in restaurant absolutely lovely and a very helpful cheerful young lady on reception who checked us in and appeared daily Breakfast was great a good selection of cereals, fruit, muffins, waffles, bagels, toast, youghurt, chocolate milk, scrambled eggs, potatoes/ hash browns and sausage patty Breakfast was from 7-10 can get crowded just before shuttle times and the extra space upstairs was welcomed on one occasion some extra outdoor tables would be nice Shuttles were always over crowded outbound in the mornings and ideally could do with being bigger or less hotels to connect with Penthouse suite was airy with lots of space for a family group of (8) with a large fridge, microwave, small freezer, oven, toaster and coffee maker only downside was the lack of kitchen utensils... the two bathrooms were great for a big family trying to get ready in the mornings Location is fabulous with idrive just one street up ... lots of restaurants and Walgreens great for grabbing a few essentials Very close to universal Uber being just $7 and a short drive away

On 2/16 we booked a room at this hotel via hotels.com last minute due to issues we had with our cruise that caused us to miss our flight home.There was a system issue with hotels.com and we were sold a room that was already booked. This was not the fault of the hotel. Even though they had been yelled at for the last couple of hours by angry guests who were victims of this glitch, the manager and ladies behind the desk were amazing! They were kind and understanding and were able to provide us a room that came available at the last minute. They suggested places for dinner and went out of their way to help us and make us feel at home! Thank you Ladies for helping to make a bad situation better.
