We were concerned looking at map that the hotel looked a bit out of town, but we need not have worried, as we could look down the road straight to the beach. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, with cleaners coming in every day. Towels replaced etc daily. Didn't eat in the hotel apart from for our breakfasts, which were great - basically almost anything you could think of. It was a fair walk to restaurants for our evening meals, but nothing we couldn't do. All in all, a great week, in a lovely hotel.

“Friend and relaxing hotel in Agadir!”

This is a fabulous friendly hotel not too far from the beach. The hotel, pool area and room were all spotless! We spent 5 nights at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet stay. The pool area was comfortable with lots of seating. We highly recommend this Agadir hotel!

Stayed at Hotel Timoulay for a week in December, to escape the UK winter, get some sunshine and take in the sights, sounds and culture of Agadir and the surrounding areas. The hotel is a 30-minute private transfer from the airport and situated in an area where there are building works taking place. There are derelict buildings covered in graffiti and lots of wasteland full of litter, which some may find unappealing and unattractive, but it didn’t bother me. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Bedroom was a decent size with a balcony overlooking the pool and an ensuite shower room with a walk-in shower. Breakfast is pretty similar most days, a fairly small buffet of fresh pastries, coffee, teas, bread, cold meat and salad items, along with rather random hot items like lasagne, roast potatoes, cooked carrots and onions etc, plus you can get eggs and pancakes made to order. The hotel offers a light menu during the day with grilled meats, burger, fish, salads etc, along with drinks. Alcohol prices on a par with UK. I went out every night for dinner so can’t comment on the restaurant buffet. It is a 5-minute walk down to the beach and seafront promenade and the sunsets can be breathtaking. You can walk south down the beach for around 10 minutes but then it becomes a protected area, whereas if you head north you can walk all the way to the marina (which I actually found rather underwhelming). The hotel has a small and immaculate swimming pool, which is unheated and very refreshing, and there are some sunbathing spots (but quite a lot of shade at times). A clean pool towel is available from reception every day. The hotel has a shop for essential items and some tourist tat and I do question the authenticity of some of the products… I went out walking daily and found a wide range of cafes and restaurants for lunch and dinner, as well as cultural sights like El Had souk and Medina d’Agadir. I also caught a bus up to Taghazout, which was a really interesting experience and was good to visit another town. There are some negatives to highlight about the hotel, such as the smell of drains in the bathroom, the super loud music from 9pm to 2/3am from the Rooftop Bar next door which disturbed me on Friday and Saturday night, the poor soundproofing in the bedrooms, the lack of amenities on the doorstep (although there’s always a petit taxi outside or nearby). I paid around 20 dirhams for most taxi rides. I found the mattress way too firm and uncomfortable, as were the pillows, albeit I’m conscious that this is subjective, but I didn’t sleep well at all unfortunately.
