Reading some of the reviews it sounds as if I stayed in a different resort. There are apartments in the village which must be very busy but we have always stayed in an apartment by the pool. Peaceful and very quiet ... not a photographing tourist in sight. The reception staff and housekeeping were all lovely and helpful. The only downside was the really high humidity which played havoc with my phone but it is hardly the fault of the hotel. Parking can be challenging over weekends and at peak times but we have never had any real problems as there is lots of street parking nearby. We would go back in a heartbeat

Reading other reviews I think it comes down to the apartment you are given. Ours was 48B, opposite the mock church. Reading other reviews I think it comes down to the apartment you are given. Ours was 48B, opposite the mock church. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchenette with a two ringed electric hob, microwave and fridge. One free standing fan. Ours was bright once you opened all the shutters, but problem was it was between two lanes, and with constant tourists with cameras who all want to look straight into the apartments, there is no privacy at all. No air con, so if you shut the windows for privacy you fried. Being an apartment i did expect it to have some equipment. No kettle, despite there being cups and saucers. No toasters, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc. We did ask for a kettle but the receptionist looked at us as if we had two heads.(this was the afternoon gent, the lady in the morning was nice enough). Kitchen equipment was minimal and in poor repair, the non stick frying pan was scratched to the metal so impossible to use. We were out most days so missed the worst of the coach tours, the English speaking ones were interesting enough as they always stopped outside the church to give a history of the village, but once you've heard it once..... All in all I think the owners need to put in a bit of an effort and upgrade the apartments and stop relying on the villages reputation for cuteness. Unfortunately I wouldn't stop again, just visit for an hour.
