They are friendly, attentive and kind. I will always love this establishment because as the designated party planner this establishment makes my job easy. The food is always delicious and some of the best food I've ever eaten.

This place is our go to for any special occasions or dining experience. The staff make this place ! Everyone can't do enough for you, so polite and going that extra mile, this kind of service is dying out and it lovely to be treated with kindness and respect. They laid the table for us (decorating even better than we would of done). They take all the fuss out of it for us so we can just enjoy our day. Food was amazing as always ! Not one thing was wrong with our whole day.

I cannot recommend Fairlawns enough, we have thoroughly enjoyed each and every visit, and a special stay this weekend prompted an overdue review. As a family-run hotel, what sets Fairlawns apart is the warm, friendly and personal service from the staff, who cannot do enough for you and want to go the extra mile because they clearly love working there and making guests happy, as opposed to the often robotic service you receive at chain hotels. The restaurant has always been first class at each of our stays. The menu changes seasonally with a good variety of dishes to suit most tastes. The presentation of the food and ingredient quality is often beyond what you would expect for the price point. The rooms are quite classic in their appearence and are always spotless, with comfortable beds, a pillow menu, and quality toiletries in the bathroom. The spa is also easily accessible from the rooms without needing to leave a hotel building to go to another spa building for instance, as you shiver in your robe! The spa itself has recently been renovated, and has a pool with a bar serving drinks (including alcohol), various scented/salt steam rooms and saunas, an ice bucket, foot spas, and two jacuzzi's to the rear. We always leaving feeling fully rejuvinated and the variety and quality of the spa is one of the reasons we return. Our most recent stay was made particularly special by the staff, who went above and beyond to make an engagement proposal to my partner extra special. They decorated the room with petals and flowers (following liaison with a local florist on delivery etc) whilst we were in the spa, ready for our return to the room where I proposed. We were then seated at a quiet corner table in the restaurant, and given complimentary appetisers, extra side dishes, champagne, and a 'congratulations' pudding. It felt so special and all the staff seemed so genuinely happy for us. Morgan the Restaurant Manager coordinated this and went above and beyond. We cannot find anywhere else that offers the same level of experience, service and quality at this price point, so will continue to return for years to come.
