A lovely friendly hotel near to the town centre. Staff are all helpful and happy to oblige helping you with anything. I don't yet speak Portuguese but everyone spoke enough English to understand me. The breakfast is plentiful with cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, juices and water, cereals, various breads, cakes, jams and spreads, a coffee machine which also dispenses hot water for the great choice of teas. Also a choice of semi skimmed, rice, oat or lactose free milks. As soon as someone has finished breakfast, dishes are cleared and tables cleaned. The hotel itself is spotless and the rooms smell clean every time you walk in. Although I hung towels up for teuse, I am sure they wete changed every day and bedding every other day. They supply toiletries and there is a hairdryer, coffee machine and bottles of water. Rooms have aircon/heating and tv. I had a balcony room overlooking the pool and could also see into Tondela's football ground. If I had any negatives it would be the hotel needs some TLC but maybe when the world us back to normal, this may be attended to. The SJ will be my first choice next time I stay in Tondela

“Absolute bargain lovely hotel ”

Stayed here end of July for 7 nights and for the price I was not expecting much. I arrived at around midnight and the staff were very welcoming and efficient. Stayed here end of July for 7 nights and for the price I was not expecting much. I arrived at around midnight and the staff were very welcoming and efficient. My room was clean and serviced every day, there is a nice bar with reasonable prices. Plenty of selection at breakfast for all tastes, just a shame there was no fresh fruit (if there was I missed it sorry). I will visit again as I have family in Tondela, and I would recommend it to other family members.

We were let down at the last moment and had to find a hotel for 6 nights and this hotel just squeezed us in . We needed a disabled room with the other two needing to be next door. We were let down at the last moment and had to find a hotel for 6 nights and this hotel just squeezed us in . We needed a disabled room with the other two needing to be next door. The Management were very great and soon got it sorted. The rooms were clean and the disabled room was very spacious. The breakfast had a very wide choice of continental foods and preserves. Tea and coffee were unlimited. There was no evening restaurant service but sandwich's and soup was available in the bar. All the staff were great and kind.

Stayed for 10 day. The rooms were spotless . Cleaned everyday. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely - no cooked breakfast but plenty of choice. Pool lovely and not busy. Stayed for 10 day. The rooms were spotless . Cleaned everyday. Staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast was lovely - no cooked breakfast but plenty of choice. Pool lovely and not busy. Plenty of sun loungers and seating around the pool. Lots of different seating areas around the hotel as well. The only downside to our stay was that the pool could do with being cleaned more often and the beds are uncomfortable. It's also a shame that the only lunch available was toast and sandwiches. Overall no problems with our stay.
