From our arrival as weary travellers for a 10 day holiday we were welcomed with smiles and a speedy check-in. The suite was beautiful very clean and spacious with a large kitchen too. We stayed all inclusive so kitchen was not really used but fridge was handy for keeping bottles of white wine and milk chilled. The restaurant was buffet style and served a large selection of meat, fish, soup, salads pizzas, cheeses, deserts always with vegetarian options and plenty of fresh fruit. Breakfast had danish, yogurts, fruit, cheeses, cereals, mixed nuts and dried fruits also full English too. Always a good selection of delicious foods available outside main meal times too. I bet that kitchen never stopped. The staff were amazing especially Sao in the restaurant. She always greeted you with a smile and a few happy words, practicing her very good English and encouraging you to try a few words in Portuguese whilst making sure you enjoyed a pleasant meal and topping up drinks. The Bar was also a great hub especially in the evening, with live music on frequently and always a new cocktail of the day to try. The drinks were good quality too. One day we did have bad weather but there was plenty of games, books and jigsaws available and good company of other holidaymakers enjoying the hotel. My one gripe was most people were all inclusive at the hotel but they never left a tip for staff. We honestly were quite embarrassed by this and can honestly say we regularly tipped both in the bar and restaurant and were very happy to do so. The staff were very appreciative. If you are seeking a quiet,, peaceful, quality accommodation with excellent food choice and drinks then the Patio Suite fulfils all these requirements with the added exceptional team of staff that change your status when arriving as 'Hotel Guests or customers ' to when you leave as 'Friends'. There is indeed truth in previous reviews when the staff are commended so highly. We arrived on our fifty first anniversary year to a welcome of an upgrade and a bottle of bubbly on ice and fruit cocktail already awaiting in our Deluxe apartment. From our arrival at' check in' which was so professionally and welcoming completed by Gabriel to our 'check out' 11 days later equally as gracious by Pedro , , had personal circumstances allowed, we would still be there enjoying the Patio Suite Experience . The location of the hotel is set a discrete but easily accessible distance from the Albufeira area if you require the energetic exposure to the bright lights at night . The Patio Suite has a unique transportation timetable system to convey you to the beach or nearby shopping area . You just go to reception and are taken immediately. If the Minibus has already left with others you just wait on its return shortly after and are conveyed to the location . Of course there are return times set for you to choose but the system allows greater flexibility for your time . Keeping in touch with news the apartment TVs have BBC and Sky News in addition to a host of English language channels in which the Portuguese graciously rely on the subtitles . The spacious quality accommodation with fully equipped kitchen all kept immaculately clean by a team of friendly professional housekeepers has to be commended . I must mention the luxurious comfortable beds - better than we have at home. A special thanks to Lourdes who was our primary housekeeper . We were 'All Inclusive' and so glad we choose this option . Despite end of season , the choice and quality of the restaurant food including the Vegetarian Options were excellent . So glad to enjoy vegetables properly cooked , not always found in some hotels . The Restaurant team were quick to recharge your glass with your wine choice or sangria - highly recommended . Of course a choice of non alcoholic beverage is available . As already mentioned, the team of staff at Patio Suite are a credit to the hotel and all of them make time for you. It is a precarious pursuit to name individuals in fear of offending others not mentioned but just by chance , we met more often than others , Micaela, Sao, Elizabeth, and Francisco . Many thanks to you all and others not mentioned , leaving as friends - so appreciated by us . { Please excuse spelling of names}. I had contact with Victor by telephone even before arrival at the hotel who was so helpful with providing details about the hotel and location etc . We of course met Victor at Reception where I am sure he has moulded the many attributes of merit readily identified by visitors like us . Finally, I must mention Paula, the Patio Suite manager who obviously leads the team from all the guest areas and not a back office . Paula identified herself to us many times as we noticed she did with other guests enquiring if we were enjoying our stay or if we needed anything . Paula must be very proud of her team .
