We are here now and what a fantastic place, excellent check in procedure in lovely air conditioned cool room with drinks and cold flannels. Taken through to our beach front villa everything you could want for fantastic room pity we’re only here for 2 days. All staff so friendly as all Thai always are. The beech is so quiet and plenty of great sun beds and looked after by beech attendant. The pool is absolutely huge never seen a pool so big and again plenty of sun beds no need to be reserving beds lovely pool bar / restaurant Would definitely recommend and hope next time we will be back for longer

“Samui's Best Hotel.”

Magnificent Hotel. We stayed for 3 weeks in the reserve villas. The resort was spotless in all areas, and flat so easy to get around. Magnificent Hotel. We stayed for 3 weeks in the reserve villas. The resort was spotless in all areas, and flat so easy to get around. The staff cant do enough to make you feel special, and the food is also great. The beach is the best on Samui lovley to walk on, it is also very clean and soft sand. I will stay again without doubt. Great Hotel. Great Food. Great Staff.

“Almost Paradise”

Stayed here with my family of three last month for seven days. We had booked this hotel based on the reviews the drone video on YouTube which showed off the beautiful beach. To be honest when we first arrived, we were slightly disappointed with our first impressions of the hotel. We were taken to a cool reception area and given a welcome drink, the duplex room that we were put in was very disappointing. Looking at the website and reviews it was an impression that such rooms would be set away from the main building and be stand alone. However, it’s soon became a parent that the duplex suites were all attached to the main building. Where is the bungalows and the reserve were in separate grounds. This would not have been a problem had we looked out of our balcony onto a peaceful setting. However our room looked straight out onto a children’s play area which was around 10 metres away with playground attractions, including a big trampoline. We could not believe that our piece of paradise consisted of looking out on a Childrens play area. Straightaway, we complained to reception and whilst they were willing to listen and rehouse us in another duplex suite now. This did not become free until the next day meaning we had to move at around midday 24 hours later. Hotel facilities were generally well maintained and the food was of a high standard. There were two main restaurants that you could dine in. The one on the beach which had occasional entertainment early evening until 9pm and the Thai restaurant in the main building. On a couple of occasions the service was very poor in the beach restaurant. Once we had booked a specific table for dinner on the beach just three hours before only to find that the staff had no record of it despite the member of staff that booked it not owning up to what was clearly a mistake. Another time we waited and waited and waited for service as we continually were ignored. It felt at times that you were in the Bermuda Triangle of ‘no service’. If you didn’t want Thai food or even if you did, choices were limited. We did manage to order some of the food from the lunchtime menu at times but this was a real challenge. The beach restaurant seemed to be short staffed and lacking in organisation. The very helpful lady from the pool, Charlene had to help out at one time when clearly they didn’t have enough people to serve the guests. Breakfast offered a good choice of food. However the hotel need to put the hot food available in an air conditioned area. When we were there this was in a separate hot and sweaty area on the side of the breakfast room which made it uncomfortable when you were waiting for your food to be presented at one of the cooking stations. The pool area was superb and well maintained with great attention to the guests with towels and sun beds by the hotel staff. The huge 50 metre pool was a big plus and there were plenty of sun beds available. In terms of the beach this was beautiful with plenty of comfortable sun beds, hammocks and the availability of water sports for free such as paddle boarding. My wife and daughter did this activity twice and really enjoying having this access to the equipment. Generally this was a fantastic hotel album service was somewhat patchy. So whilst the service in the beach restaurant was poor the staff in reception we’re always helpful when ordering hotel luxury taxis at a very reasonable price to and from the Fisherman’s market. One big thing that is missing is the lack of a late night bar. Whilst there is a small lobby bar this is always closed. When we came back to the hotel one night at 10pm and wanted a drink at the bar the receptionist suggested we could walk 400 metres out of the hotel grounds to a scruffy make shift bar in the street! This too is was shocking for a hotel that suggested they were a 5 star resort. Would we recommend? Overall yes but expect slow service limited food choices but a beautiful spot on the beach with a great pool area. Santiburi management please look at the service at the beach bar and open up the lobby bar for your valuable high paying guests. Sent from my iPad

Negatives: -not as clean as you would expect a 5 star hotel or a 4 for that matter : switches in the room very dirty , bathrooms doors and shower quite dirty you could see where not cleaned for long time , dirty cutlery in the restaurant, extremely slippery shower. It needs to be better illuminated in the garden and have a longer service at the bar. We arrived around 11 pm at the hotel and we wanted a sparkling water and a still water in the room-it wasn’t possible although there was staff around, as the bar was closed Quite slow service at the beach in a situation where there weren’t too many people at the beach in fact in the 2 hours we stayed we haven’t seen them serving anyone else. In the same trip we stayed at banyan tree for couple of nights and then we come here. There is a huge difference in quality and service surprisingly for the same amount of money per night
