The whole team worked well as a team and the communication was amazing. Right up to the end they still could not do enough for you. We had 1 small issue and they were there to resolve it in 5 minutes.

“Fantastic stay”

Wow, we arrived very hot to a very welcoming lady on reception who checked us in and drove us up to our villa. Wow, we arrived very hot to a very welcoming lady on reception who checked us in and drove us up to our villa. Absolutely blown away with this accommodation, you could probably park 3 or 4 cars on the drive, huge morrocan style front door which opens up to the beautiful lounge with the pool right outside it, either side are the bedrooms, ones with huge shower the other with large bath, wall in wardrobes off each bedroom, kitchen and dining area and utility room with everything you need there. Outside then is great size pool and great seating area and good size garden. The onsite Arenas restaurant offers a large variety of food and drink at breakfast. We ate there our first night and highly recommend as food was delicious. My only negative is a gentleman in the restaurant who I think is possibly the Manager, not very welcoming and almost as if we were a bit of an inconvenience but other than that's we had a very relaxing holiday and would definitely stay again.

We stayed as a family of 6 in gran deluxe villa with Jet2. We really enjoyed the stay. The villa was clean and well appointed with comfortable beds. We really appreciated the daily maid service and the breakfast was varied and tasty. The staff at the resort were very responsive through whats app with taxi bookings and answering any questions. We walked down the hill to the town and got taxis back some days. Lots of nice restaurants in the old town and also had a cocktail and evening meal at the arenas lounge which was very nice. The gym was also a great addition. We would recommend for those wanting the flexibility/privacy of a villa but the advantages of a hotel and will definitely stay again.

If you’re considering staying at Villas Alondras then I wish you an enjoyable stay. We stayed in Villa 44 - a three-bedroom Gran Deluxe Villa which was very comfortable. We found the cleaning and restaurant staff to be friendly and efficient. As many others have said in their reviews it is well located with a supermarket and bars and restaurants nearby. If you choose a Gran Deluxe Villa, Villas Alondras offer to heat the villa pool ahead of your arrival. You email Villas Alondras a few weeks ahead of your arrival. This gives them sufficient time to ensure that the pool is heated for when you arrive. This we did. You pay on arrival – currently €240 for seven days. Which we also did. However, if you want your villa pool to be heated you may be disappointed. Here is our experience and recommendations. We checked-in on a Tuesday evening. The pool looked beautiful (see image below) but was far too cold to use. We went to reception first thing the following morning (Wednesday) to report the issue with the water temperature. They said they would look into it – ‘as the temperature should be 27°c’. As we were out for the day, they sent us a WhatsApp message at 12:53 (image below) which stated ‘our technician just verified your pool and everything is running properly. It is currently 28.5°c’. This was Wednesday lunchtime. When we arrived back at the villa later that afternoon the pool was still cold – not 28.5°c. The following morning (Thursday) I took a photograph of the temperature reading on the pool heater (image below). We went back to reception and reported that the temperature was 25.1°c. They said they would get someone from ‘maintenance’ to investigate it ‘immediately'. No one turned up at the villa and no one came back to us on WhatsApp (as they had on the Wednesday). To cut a long story short, we went to reception on multiple occasions to report the low temperature (images attached). I also mentioned it twice to the pool attendants, who clean the pool on a daily basis, who said, ‘you have to pay for it' and 'see reception’. When we were leaving, at the end of our stay, the receptionist asked if we had a good time. I explained about the pool being too cold to use throughout our stay. She asked if we had paid the €240 by card (which we had) and she said she would arrange a refund with senior management. Four days after our return to the UK I still hadn’t heard anything back from Villas Alondras, so I thought it best to drop them a ‘reminder’. In the interest of transparency I have attached that reminder and their subsequent response. You will see from their reply they say they ‘follow a strict company policy with the follow-up and resolution of issues reported by guests’. If this was true, they would have followed-up with me before I had to chase them four days later. Perhaps if they had followed-up on our multiple visits to reception (rather than just once) we might have also had a resolution. There was no resolution. Villa Alondras’ reply also states they ‘have not been able to find any records of problems with the pool heating’. Which is not surprising as no written record of was taken in our presence on any of the many occasions that we reported this to reception. I also note a previous reply from them (on TripAdvisor) to another Alondra visitor (see below) which states that 'The machine has a temperature sensor that controls the on and off.’ and that ’This turns on automatically when low of 27°c’. As you can see from the attachments, the sensor of the pool heater at Villa 44 displays a range of temperatures from 23.2°c to 25.1°c - nowhere near the minimum of 27° referred to by Alondras in that TripAdvisor response. A temperature of 27°c would have made it useable. 23°c is just too cold. In their reply, Villas Alondras have used phrases such as ‘not been able to find’ and ‘as far as I have been able to ascertain’ which tells me that they don’t have “a strict company policy” let alone follow it. They are clearly obfuscating any sense of responsibility so that they don’t have to provide a refund for a service they never delivered, and we never received. So, here’s my suggestion. If you have a similar experience, I recommend the following. Take a photograph of the temperature sensor twice a day and include it in WhatsApp correspondence with them. That way you have a record you can refer to. (It is ridiculous but) make sure you keep a record of every visit you make to reception. If you are still unhappy - get a refund while you are still there.
