I had a wonderful stay with my husband at Сhaweng Regent Beach Resort from January 20 to 27. The location is perfect—right near the beach and close to everything you might need. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the basics covered for a relaxing holiday. What really stood out to me was the staff, especially Jack at the reception. He was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and went out of his way to help with anything I needed. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely welcoming, and he definitely made my stay even better. If you’re looking for a laid-back place with great service and a great vibe, I’d highly recommend this resort. Thanks again to Jack and the whole team! Best Regards,

“Could be better”

Location First of all, the location at the beach with the water in front and the street in the back is not too bad. You could theoretically get the best of tranquility as well as hundreds of restaurants, 7-Elevens and Massagestudios 20 seconds from the entrance away. The beach is small and pretty. BUT… there’s a small chance to stay on the the beach as the water is going very close to the hotel. In the backyard, the roof is on fire. Starting at noon and not ending until midnight. There is thousands of loud cars motorbikes as well as every minute a brutal loudspeaker advertising of everything around like parties or boxing fights. The streets are crowded with dirt, cannabis shops and special people. And then: depending on the weather, the airplanes are starting or landing directly over the hotel, so loud and close that there is zero chance to relax. Theoretically a 4 but in reality a 2 which nobody can change as the location is just where it is. Situation The resort is in a good condition, but you can see everywhere that either money is lacking or renovation is postponed. In combination with the south eastern attitude of construction it is good and clean, but used. A 3-4. Rooms Like everywhere there is differences, but the difference in this hotel are big. The first room was a dark and moldy backyard room not worth a dime. The second room was good. Anyhow forget sea view as the resort is quite narrow and long or you get the sea villa- there is only one. Give it a 3-4 after the change. Pricing We had a price of approximately €500 /500USD/500 CHF per Night for a 14day stay. You get a free airport transfer if you stay more than seven nights and two massages if you stay more than 14 nights. anyhow, this is super high, but it is super high season and therefore everything everywhere is super expensive.. value for money anyhow is below average. A 2 Service/Staff Like Everywhere in Thailand the staff is polite and nice. But… competence is critical. Wrote to the hotel many times for reservation without any answer and had the feeling of needing to stalk them. Called many times with high effort and investment to get answers. English is difficult, which in my opinion is not that acceptable for such an international setting where many Thai people are very fluent. They tried to sell extras at the very beginning. A 3. Breakfast The service at breakfast is a chaos. Fortunately, the restaurant is close to the sea and you can see the ocean while having your coffee, but getting a coffee is almost impossible as there is one coffee machine with one waiter, trying to serve hundreds of guests. If you come with a Jetlag, which most of the people have, and want a coffee to improve your well-being in the morning, the chance of feeling worse after half an hour of waiting is high. Furthermore, the waiters just run over the trash, lying on the floor and ignore it. They don’t clean the tables and actually they do not react on anything and they go so slowly like they all had a terrible night shift before. A very poor service. Give it a 2 as some are at least motivated though not very competent. Guests It is somehow difficult, finding a hotspot between a reasonable hotel with a sound guest structure. Unfortunately the hotel seems to have a special attraction on guests showing a combination of prisoners tattoos together with many early beers and fake gold jewelry and watches. Dialect and haptic show their heritage 2/5 Summary 3/5 with an easy chance of a solid 4+. Increasing service quality will attract more better guests which will attract other better guests.

Negatives 4 stars being generous No sleep for 7 days I am a good sleeper I am in 40s not a pensioner but woke at 1am every morning till 5am with the noise from clubs, bars I was middle down in the resort not far from main road and reception 1-5am night club banging then 6am the bird, crow or owl out side room then 7am planes it was torcher. Complaint and they had no rooms closer to beach/ pool further away so they moved us to sister hotel melati which was 20 minutes away quite far and isolated but million times better it was like paradise up there and they have a shuttle to take you down to main strip but finishes at 4pm shame it’s not 8/10pm so could have dinner down busy end. Give hotel their due they tried to resolve this and did in the end but 1st week wasn’t good. Positives Staff lovely. Pool beach area lovely. Rooms nice clean. Smart telly with Netflix etc. internet good. Food by pool nice and very cheap. Kids loved the pool quite a few kids. Perfect location if want to the lively street to be on doorstep. Could be great if you was located by beach or pool.
