On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our spacious room excellent pool and sea view with sun loungers on our balcony, the hotel is in an excellent location close to cliff walks and short walk to the marina, food was excellent and varied, the Christmas galla night was a fabulous effort by the staff, the spa and massage is excellent, we had an excellent holiday thanks to all the staff who were so warm and helpful thanks again from Micky & Zoe Gilmore Co.Antrim Northern Ireland

A nice hotel not the best but not the worst. Pools are not heated and very cold. Restaurant is basic no table cloths, plenty of water, juice, tea, coffee and wine stations. A nice hotel not the best but not the worst. Pools are not heated and very cold. Restaurant is basic no table cloths, plenty of water, juice, tea, coffee and wine stations. Food was mainly cool or cold but varied. We had a junior suite which was large but dated. Weather was good but we experienced a lot of wind which was cool. Bar areas were good with good service, evening entertainment was brief sometimes only a half hour show. Staff were helpful and good. Would we go again, no.

“Friendly staff, noisy rooms”

Friendly staff: very helpful and supportive in whatever service you need. Buffet restaurant: food choices enough, but very busy and loud due the heaps of people eating at the same time. Beside the restaurant is not cosy at all. Perhaps dim the lights and different chairs for less noise. Rooms c… more

Friendly staff: very helpful and supportive in whatever service you need. Buffet restaurant: food choices enough, but very busy and loud due the heaps of people eating at the same time. Beside the restaurant is not cosy at all. Perhaps dim the lights and different chairs for less noise. Rooms clean but very noisy: you can hear neighbors above and and both sides next door. The walls are hardly protecting any noise. Bring earplugs! Other than the above, nice pool, okay location. Recommendation depending on the price you’ll pay and the expectations you have.

We stayed at the Mirador Papagayo for 5 days near the end of December leaving on 23rd , good points first, staff very welcoming & friendly, hotel was decorated very nicely for Xmas, good points first we stayed in a family annex room which had a separate bedroom & was very spacious , full option if you were b&b or self catering however we were all inclusive, the entertainment staff had numerous games throughout the day where you won bottles of wine, they were professional & entertaining, the evening shows were also very good again very professional , the disappointing aspects of this hotel were the food which was very low standard barely a 2* rating & a lot of other guests were heard to be complaining daily , the food was so bad we left the restaurant on 2 occasions to eat out , there is no variety & food very inedible, last point was the advertised ‘heated pool’ which was available in the spa at a charge, this was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel in December unfortunately we would not be returning unless the standard of food improved immensely
